Acupuncture and Emotions
The greatest aspect of my acupuncture career has been supporting patients with feeling better. Not just physically better but emotionally better.
The Five Element style of acupuncture treatment is perfectly suited to helping you feel more emotionally balanced as it recognises the importance of our many emotions.
Fear, joy, saddness, grief, anger, love. They are all emotions that flow through us and change how we feel. When in balance our emotions should gently guide us through our lives, helping us find the path that is right for us.
However, it doesn’t always work that way. We can get stuck in certain emotional patterns that may be destructive or harmful for us and those around us. Taking time to understand our emotional landscape, reflect on it and find ways to un-jumble what we see is essential if we are to feel good in ourselves.
In your acupuncture session we take time to understand your feelings, discuss them, think about what they are trying to suggest to you. It is time out to find the right path and move forward calmly and with less stress.
The relaxation and peace that acupuncture treatment brings gives us the space to make sense of our feelings. That combined with the many points which can be selected to help balance and process emotions brings the clarity to move forward with purpose.
